Raquel

Raquel is hot pink with purple points and a white floral lace design. She has a pink and white mane with two light purple braids and a white tail. The forward braid is longer than the second so that the ends meet and the single barrette can be tied to both braids.

Raquel was released in two poses, Tennessee Rack (new in 1989), and Arabian Canter.

Notes

It's possible that Raquel was also released with a single braid as shown in promotional materials. I have not yet seen provenance to support this.

I speculate that Raquel's new pose and name may have been inspired by a Racking Horse such as the Tennessee Walking Horse. Racking is a very high stepped gait that can be taught to some breeds but comes mostly naturally to the Tennessee Walking Horse. As such I have named this pose, the "Tennessee Rack."
